Sunshine! Woo-hoo!

The sun is shining again today! Third day in a row! Woo-hoo! Thanks for all of your positive thoughts and wishes that we would get some sun so I could warm my belly.

My life is settling down more and more every day. I no longer try to wake my people before daylight unless my bowl gets empty. And if my people would leave the cabinet door open where they keep my dry food, I would never have to get them up. Now, I mostly snuggle with them until they decide to crawl out of bed - which lately is when the sun shines in their face. But if I do wake up and there's no food, well look out. I jump on them, and if they ignore me, I jump on a shelf and proceed to knock everything down to the floor. Loudly!

I am so playful, I keep my people laughing. I make up my own games, sometimes, but my favorite is to hide behind something, then wind up my rear-end before I charge after my mouse. My she-person wants to get a video of my antics, but I'm too fast. I mean, my rear-end isn't an old, rusty wind-up Ford. Just three or four circles, and my engine is ready to propel me forward - and my long back legs send me flying.

My people don't have to throw the mouse - I can do that myself, and do, often. They hide my feathers on a pole so I can't tear it up, but I know where they keep it and I stand at the closet door, begging for them to get it out. Then there's that crazy laser light that they drag out and tease me with. I know they are behind it because I watch them pick it up and I can see it in their hand, but I still fall for their tricks and chase it in circles or up the wall. Well, at least until I get bored with it. My attention span doesn't last too long.

Oh, and I'm a little bit of a klutz. I tend to hang my head off a chair when I'm playing, then tumble off. That really amuses my people. They think my missing tail affects my balance, but the vet says I was born this way. She says I'm a Manx. Manly sounding, isn't it? I'm just glad I'm not a prissy persian or some other little fluffy, frou-frou kitty. I may be missing some equipment, but I'm all boy. Big, strong, handsome, manly boy!

Until next time, purr-r-r-r - er, I mean g-r-o-w-l-l-l.
