Outsmarting My People

Another day in the Northwest, not much going on, and the weather is still dreary. My people headed out somewhere yesterday to try and get their watches repaired. Who needs watches? I know when it's time to get up and when it's time to go to bed, and I also know when it's time to eat. What else is there?

Oh, there's making eye contact with the grey and white next door. I try to keep him (or her) in sight, so I'm constantly running between windows to track the kitty's path. I kinda wish I could get out and play with it, but then I don't want to be left outside where it gets cold and wet. That kitty looks kinda scruffy, like it has been caught outside in one too many rainstorms. I did find out it has a home with the people next door, but was a stray that they've kinda adopted. At least they feed it and take it in at night.

While I do have people, they march to their own drummers. I've discovered that they have claimed the two best chairs in the place as their own, while they expect me to take the couch. And I've noticed they don't use that very often. What? Do they think I'm stupid and don't know that the chairs are more comfortable? So I've made it my mission to grab one of their chairs when they get up! It's so much fun to run and plop in one as soon as they get up.

Of course, I would much rather have a velvet throne, but lying in one of these chairs after they've been warmed by my people will have to do. It's hard to get good people for what I pay.

Purr-r-r-r.
