About Those Walks!

Well, my people have been at it again - trying to walk me like a common dog. Who do they think they're dealing with? Don't they know I only go when I want to go, and where I choose? They always seem to want me to take a particular path, but that's just not the CAT WAY, so I make it difficult for them by lying down and rolling in the grass, gravel, or wherever I've chosen as the spot I want to sun myself. You should see them trying to straighten out my leash after I've had a good romp and roll!

They've also found out I can jump straight up and turn myself around in mid-air, and I can twist myself around picnic table legs like there's no tomorrow. Then while they're trying to get the kinks out of the leash, I cut loose and take off running for home. I love to see them sweat and get breathless chasing after me.

Maybe humans are impossible to train. They're still real cranky at 5:00 AM, but I'm patiently working on getting them up earlier. Someday, maybe they'll learn how to adapt to my demands . . .

Until next time, m-e-o-w!
